Title:
A control device of a jump-spark-ignition type engine
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP5942915
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the afterburning of vaporized fuel derived from alcohol-containing fuel and supplied from an oil pan, which may be caused in a spark ignition type engine to which the alcohol-containing fuel is supplied, during executing deceleration fuel cutoff.SOLUTION: A PCM 50 estimates the amount of vaporized fuel vaporized and gasified from engine oil along with temperature rise and flowing into a combustion chamber, after mixed into the engine oil in the oil pan, as it is unburnt, of fuel injected from an injector 11, and prohibits deceleration fuel cutoff control which cuts off fuel supply to the engine and spark ignition during the travel of a vehicle when an equivalent ratio found from the estimated amount of the vaporized fuel is equal to or greater than a threshold value set from a view point of whether the afterburning of the vaporized fuel is caused or not in an exhaust passage from an exhaust port to a catalyst device, even if deceleration fuel cutoff conditions are established.
