Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further improve the fuel economy of a vehicle which is mounted with a lean-burn engine.SOLUTION: A control device of a vehicle which is mounted with a lean-burn engine comprises: the lean-burn engine which leans A/F or G/F in a cylinder by a prescribed lean amount at an operation in a low-load area, and enriches the A/F or G/F in the cylinder more than the prescribed lean amount at an operation in a high-load area; an automatic transmission; and a control part (power train control part) which controls an operation of the lean burn engine and a gear change state of the automatic transmission in response to required torque. When a required load of the lean-burn engine is not smaller than a prescribed load L1, and also when a rotation number of the lean-burn engine is not larger than a prescribed rotation number N1, the control part shifts down the automatic transmission so that the rotation number of the lean-burn engine approximates the prescribed rotation number.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
