Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of a backflow of air in a partial intake passage resulting from a reduced-cylinder operation, and to perform the reduced-cylinder operation in a wide operation range, in a multi-cylinder supercharged engine having a plurality of intake passages in which compressors are arranged, respectively, and a common intake passage which is formed of the aggregation of the plurality of intake passages.SOLUTION: When a reduced-cylinder operation is performed, a throttle located at a downstream side of a compressor which is driven by a turbine provided in an exhaust passage in which an exhaust gas of a cylinder group being an object of the reduced-cylinder operation flows is fully closed. In addition to this, at least one cylinder which constitutes the cylinder group being the object of the reduced-cylinder operation is operated at a fuel injection amount which is smaller than that of the cylinder constituting a cylinder group other than the cylinder group being the object of the reduced-cylinder operation, and by raising a rotational speed of the compressor through the operation, the pressure of the throttle at an upstream side is controlled to a magnitude of the pressure of a downstream side or larger.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
