Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device and a vehicle control method which can prevent an abrupt fastening of a forward-traveling fastening element resulting from reverse rotation of a drive source which is generated during stop control of the drive source in traveling including sailing stop control.SOLUTION: When an SS (sailing stop)-condition holds, a controller 12 performs SS-control. When an SS-release condition holds, the controller 12 performs SS-release control for starting an engine 1 in a state in which clutch command pressure Pci is raised higher than that in the SS-control. Also, when the reverse rotation of the engine 1 is detected at the time of release of the SS-control when performing SS-release control, the controller 12 starts the engine 1 in a state in which the clutch command pressure Pci is set not higher than a prescribed value α.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
