PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology capable of reducing the generation of wrinkles in an image forming device having a fixing device.SOLUTION: As a mode of controlling the timing of a pick-up start, a printer 100 includes a first mode of starting the pick-up of a sheet S when a predetermined stand-by time W elapses from the start of a temperature control; and a second mode of starting the pick-up of the sheet S when the temperature of the fixing nip reaches a fixing temperature Tp. The printer 100 makes the timing of the pick-up start delay from the timing of the second mode when the accumulated rotation time of a pressure roller 82 does not exceed a threshold value and decides to perform the control in the second mode. On the other hand, the printer 100 makes the timing of the pick-up start delay by the time shorter than that of the case in the second mode when the accumulated rotation time of the pressure roller 82 does not exceed a threshold time and decides to perform the control in the first mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
