Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately discriminate a category of a projected surface, and execute proper corrections in accordance with the category of the projected surface.SOLUTION: An image projection device comprises: a monochromatic image projection unit 31 that projects a first monochromatic image to an area including a position where an angle of incidence of light incident upon a projected surface S is 0 degree of a projection area of a projection image relative to the projected surface S, and projects a second monochromatic image to an area including a position where the angle of incidence is maximum; an illuminance meter 17 that receives reflection light from the projected surface S upon each projection of the first monochromatic image and second monochromatic image, and detects an amount of light of the reflection light; a surface characteristic prediction unit 32 that predicts a surface characteristic of the projected surface S on the basis of the amount of light detected in the illuminance meter 17; and a projection image correction unit 33 that makes corrections to a projection image S in accordance with the surface characteristic predicted in the surface characteristic prediction unit 32.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
