PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve user-friendliness by reducing the necessity of setting while considering the level of external brightness and/or existence of delay time relevant to insertion/removal of an infrared ray shut-off filter.SOLUTION: When receiving an automatic insertion/withdrawal command of an infrared ray shut-off filter including no additional information, the imaging apparatus switches over the infrared ray shut-off filter between insertion and withdrawal based on at least one parameter previously stored therein.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
