Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in which when a user changes the posture of a camera which controls rotation of a polarizing filter while maintaining a polarization rate, a camera posture front-rear polarization rate is different if the polarizing filter is only held constant in a right upward direction since the user puts some snap on his or her wrist or re-holds the camera from one hand to the other to cause the camera to rotate in a pitch direction and a yaw direction in a process for changing the posture of the camera.SOLUTION: If it is determined that a camera is rotated in a pitch direction and a yaw direction as well as a movement in a roll direction, an image is scanned while a filter is rotated after a camera posture is changed so as to find a polarization cutting rate, and the filter is so controlled that the polarization cutting rate after change in camera posture is equal to the polarization cutting rate before the posture change.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
