Abstract:
A light source unit is provided with: a plurality of laser elements that emit laser light of the same wavelength; a light amount detection means that detects the amount of laser light that is emitted from the plurality of laser elements; and a control means that acquires information related to a light amount that is to be set for combined light resulting from combining the laser light emitted from the plurality of laser elements, sets the number of laser elements to which electrical current or voltage is input so that the light amount detected by the light amount detection means becomes a light amount that corresponds to the information, and controls the current or voltage that is input into each of the set number of laser elements.
