Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image formation device to which a function can be added by software or whose function can be updated by software, and upgrade usefulness in managing a manual in the form of paper when a function is added or updated.SOLUTION: An image formation device can have a function thereof modified by modifying software. Modification processing is executed for software with which the device is operated based on an update program. Information on a manual about a function associated with the software for which the modification processing is executed is acquired, and information on printout of the manual, which has the information thereon acquired by executing the modification processing, is stored in a storage medium. Execution of image formation output based on the information on the manual that has the information on printout thereof stored in the storage medium is controlled.
