Abstract:
A satellite signal reception device has a reception means that receives a satellite signal transmitted from a positioning information satellite, and a reception control means that controls the reception means to execute a reception process. The reception control means includes a satellite signal search means that searches for the satellite signal by means of the reception means, a reception mode selection means that selects either a time mode or a positioning mode according to the number of satellites from which a satellite signal was captured by the satellite signal search means, a positioning process means that executes a positioning process of receiving the satellite signals and acquiring positioning information by means of the reception means when the reception mode selection means selects the positioning mode, and a timekeeping process means that executes a timekeeping process of receiving the satellite signals and acquiring time information by means of the reception means when the reception mode selection means selects the time mode.
