Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shredder with an automatic function for displaying a state in which shredding operation is possible by simply inserting paper into an insertion port before start of shredding work, when the shredder is in that state, and for rejecting erroneous operation or the like of an operation button during normal shredding work, and for surely executing emergency control including emergency stopping or reverse rotation in emergency.SOLUTION: A shredder 100 includes: a shredder casing 112 in which an insertion port 111 through which an object to be shredded is inserted, and display means 261 for displaying a shredding propriety state of the object to be shredded, are disposed on a top face; a pair of roll cutters for shredding the object to be shredded in a nipped state, that is inserted via an insertion guideway from the insertion port of the shredder casing 112; a built-in drive motor for rotating and driving the roll cutters; a control unit in the shredder casing 112 for drive controlling the drive motor; sensor means for dispatching detection information; and a bar switch 241 disposed adjacent to the insertion guideway of the shredder casing 112 for emergency controlling the drive motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
