Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate an increase of the density of water in a lubricant of an internal combustion engine having a water injection device.SOLUTION: A control system of an internal combustion engine having a water injection device for injecting water into an intake passage or a cylinder of the internal combustion engine reduces a maximum water injection amount from the water injection device by reducing the maximum torque of the internal combustion engine when a rotational speed of the internal combustion engine is equal in the case that the density of water in a lubricant is high compared with the case that the density is low in a prescribed operation region in which water is injected from the water injection device, the torque of the internal combustion engine is higher than that in an operation region in which water is not injected from the water injection device when the rotational speed of the internal combustion engine is equal, and water injected from the water injection device is increased when the torque of the international engine is higher.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 10
