To provide a control unit and an illumination instrument, capable of facilitating work at a construction site.SOLUTION: A control unit 400 connected to a lighting control device 102 for lighting a light source part 101 controls a lighting state of the light source part 101. The control unit 400 comprises; a signal reception part (sensor module 402) for receiving a signal from an outside space; a signal input part 403 connectable to a signal transmission part (guide light signal device 900) provided externally; and a switch 431 that can be operated manually. A first mode in which the lighting state of the light source part 101 is controlled according to a signal of the signal input part 403 and a second mode in which the lighting state of the light source part 101 is controlled according to a signal of a signal reception part regardless of the signal of the signal input part 403 are capable of being switched using the switch 431.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
