Abstract:
A transporting member for a heating furnace, which is high in thermal deformation resistance and thermal impact resistance, is provided. A transporting roller (10) for the heating furnace is formed by laminating a metal pipe (68) and a ceramic pipe (70) in an integrating manner, wherein thermal impact resistance and corrosion resistance of the metal pipe (68) are higher than that of the ceramic pipe (70); the ceramic pipe (70) is disposed at the inner side of the metal pipe (68) and is higher in thermal deformation resistance than the metal pipe (68); and the metal pipe (68) and the ceramic pipe (70) are separated by a heat-resistance insulating material (72). Accordingly, transmission of thermal impact generated in the metal pipe (68) having better thermal impact resistance than the ceramic pipe (70) by supporting a heated object (20) to the ceramic pipe (70) is inhibited by the heat-resistance insulating material (72), thus reducing damage to the ceramic pipe (70) caused by thermal impact. The ceramic pipe (70) having better thermal deformation resistance than the metal pipe (68) can function as a core material of the metal pipe (68), and therefore the transporting roller (10) with good thermal deformation resistance, corrosion resistance and thermal impact resistance is provided.
