PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyance device and a printer which can accurately set a small pressing force when making the pressing force acting on a medium small.SOLUTION: A conveyance device comprises: a drive roller 46 which can convey a medium M in the conveyance direction Y; a driven roller 48 which presses the medium M against the drive roller 46; and a change part 47 which changes the pressing force of the driven roller 48. The change part 47 has a spring 73 which generates a pressing force by being extended, and the minimum value of the pressing force is a value corresponding to the initial tension of the spring 73.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
