To provide a cooling device for a vehicle capable not only of cooling its electric system in good performance but also of cooling the internal-combustion engine in good performance.
When the internal-combustion engine 1 is driven selectively, the opening of a flow regulating valve 10 is made smaller than the normal value. This lessens the heat quantity which the cooling water receives from the oil through a heat exchanger 5, and a temperature rise of the cooling water circulating in a cooling circuit 3 for the engine owing to the heat quantity given from the oil is suppressed, so that it is possible to cool effectively the cooling water in the engine cooling circuit 3 with a radiator 7 and perform cooling the engine 1 with the cooling water in good performance. When a motor 2 is driven with stress given, on the other hand, the opening of the flow regulating valve 10 is made larger than the normal value. This allows cooling effectively the oil circulating in the electric system cooling circuit 4 through heat exchanging with the cooling water from the side with the engine cooling circuit 3 in the heat exchanger 5, so that cooling the motor 2 with the oil can be conducted in good performance.
