Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid granulation caused by a water granulation treatment or an air granulation treatment, and to prevent powdering without adding a boron compound, when cooling stainless steel slag.SOLUTION: In a method for cooling stainless steel slag, the stainless steel slag is cooled without using a water granulation treatment or an air granulation treatment. In the method for cooling stainless steel slag, when the content of AlOin the stainless steel slag is expressed as X (unit: mass%), cooling is performed at the cooling speed Y (unit: °C/min) satisfying the following formula (i): Y≥-154.5X+2988 (i).
