PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a copolymer enhancing a conditioning effect as a conditioning component or the like accumulate to a part with high damage degree of hair and making accumulation of the conditioning component hard to health hair low in damage degree, further a solution of the composition, a hair cosmetic composition containing the copolymer, and a hair cleaner, a conditioning agent and an out bath treatment agent containing the hair cosmetic composition.SOLUTION: A copolymer has constitutional units derived from prescribed monomers (a) to (d) and solubility parameter value of 10.0 to 15.7.
