Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the amount of correction of an image forming position in consideration of a front-back difference that is the difference between the size of a front face and the size of a back face of a sheet.SOLUTION: Reading means reads marks for correcting an image forming position formed respectively on a first face and a second face of a sheet. Measuring means measures a sheet size on the first face and a sheet size on the second face on the basis of an image obtained from the first face and an image obtained from the second face. Judging means judges whether a front-back difference is equal to or larger than a threshold, the front-back difference being the difference between the sheet size on the first face and the sheet size on the second face. Determination means determines the amount of correction of an image forming position by using marks formed on a sheet that has not judged to have the front-back difference equal to or larger than the threshold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
