Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair cushion, in which: the hardness/softness and the shape of the cushion can be partly adjusted; the hardness thereof can be adjusted according to the body of a user of the wheelchair; and the hardness and the shape thereof can be adjusted to be suitable for the user according to the state of disabilities and the like of the user.SOLUTION: A wheelchair cushion 1 comprises: a seat part 4 that has a femur support part 2 on the front side and a hip support part 3 on the rear side, which are formed into one lump comprising at least three layers, the layers being obtained by pasting together an outer shell member 11 formed of a rigid foam, surface layer members 12, 13 formed of a soft foam, a gel member 7 softer than the surface layer member 12, and inner soles formed of a semirigid foam, which are interposed between a femur part seating surface part 12b and the outer shell member 11 and between the surface member 13 constituting a back face and the outer shell member 11; and a rear support part 5 and a pair of right and left side support parts 6, which are provided so as to extend toward the upper side of a seating face at a peripheral edge part of the hip support part 3 of the seat part 4 in such a manner as to support the hip (pelvis) from three directions.
