Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a pipe holding function.
SOLUTION: An inner cylinder 30 is installed in a joint body 10, and each of tapered clamping surfaces 17 and 35 (clamping parts) is formed in a holding piece 34 of this inner cylinder 30 and a joint body 10. When a pipe is inserted thereinto and then slightly pulled back, this holding piece 34 is diametrally contracted and displaced to some extent by means of engagement between these clamping surfaces 17 and 35 themselves, thereby clamping an outer boundary of this pipe, i.e., holding it. Moreover, the holding piece 34 is energized in the biting direction by a compression coil spring 39, while any floating motion of the inner cylinder 30 in the unlocking direction is regulated by a locking member 40.
