To facilitate the separation work of a winding and a core by shearing the winding by a fine cut surface generating no chip and having no missing cutting and defective cutting position.

A device for cutting a winding for a winding body includes a winding-body holding mechanism 10 holding the cylindrical winding body M by a hollow H; a winding-body rolling mechanism 20 intermittently rotating the winding S held by the winding-body holding mechanism at a fixed angle; and a cutting-edge mechanism 30 including a pair of cutting edges 31 holding the winding S projected from the end face of a core C from the inside and the outside in the radial direction. The device for cutting the winding for the winding body further includes a proximity moving mechanism 40 relatively proximity-moving the cutting-edge mechanism and the winding body so that the winding is held by each cutting edge and a cutting-edge drive mechanism 50 mutually bringing each cutting edge close and holding and cutting the winding in interlocking with the intermittent rotating operation of the winding-body rolling mechanism. The device preferably includes a cutting-edge moving mechanism 33 movably holding a cutting-edge holding member 32 holding the cutting edges in the radial direction of the winding body by the deviation of a load working at a time when the cutting edges 31 are brought into contact with the winding.
