Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoding device capable of accurately detecting error of an odd number of bits relatively to the case where error detection is performed using an error-correcting code, a program and an information transmission system.SOLUTION: A reception part 140 receives redundant data on which bit number conversion encoding is performed in such a manner that a ratio of an appearance frequency of "0" and an appearance frequency of "1" becomes a predetermined ratio, and for calculating an error position of data, and data to which the error-correcting code including parity check data of data is imparted. If a value of a syndrome corresponding to the error position that is calculated from the redundant data included in the error-correcting code that is imparted to the received data is 0 and error is generated in decoding on data or if the value of the syndrome is not 0, a value of the parity check data is 1 and error is generated in decoding on data, a detection part 147 detects the presence of error of an odd number of bits in the data.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
