Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decomposition method for a solidified glass body capable of easily decomposing the solidified glass body.SOLUTION: The decomposition method for a solidified glass body 10 includes a molten salt addition step 12 of adding a molten salt 11 in a holding container that holds the solidified glass body 10 containing a radioactive nuclide, and a reducing agent addition step 14 of adding a reducing agent 13 in the holding container, in which the molten salt 11 is added, to decompose the solidified glass body 10 into a metallic phase 15 reduced by the reducing agent 13, a molten salt phase 16 molt in the molten salt 11, and a solid phase 17 that does not belong to either of the phases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
