Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defecation assist device which allows a care-receiver such as a sick person and elderly person to easily put muscle into the lower abdomen so as not to fall from a Western-style toilet seat in a toilet when he/she uses the Western-style toilet seat, and which allows him/her to smoothly enter or exit the toilet and not to stumble when he/she sits on the Western-style toilet seat and exits the toilet.SOLUTION: A defecation assist device is provided on a side wall C of a toilet having a Western-style toilet seat B. The defecation assist device includes: a base part 2, which is fixed to an assist handrail part D provided on the side wall C; and a table part 3 which moves rotationally around the base part 2 in the vertical direction and slides forward and backward in the horizontal state on the front side of the Western-type toilet seat B and which is pushed backward in the horizontal state to be locked by lock means at a proper position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
