Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a demolition and removal method of a PCB-contaminated waste treatment facility capable of minimizing leakage of PCB-contaminated substance out of a facility and efficiently implementing demolition and removal work and decontamination of the PCB-contaminated substance.SOLUTION: In a demolition and removal method of a PCB-contaminated waste treatment facility provided with a PCB decontamination function, the PCB-contaminated waste treatment facility 100 has a plurality of rooms which are classified into at least three areas: an area A which is not necessary for executing demolition and removal work and maintaining the PCB decontamination function and has a possibility of PCB contamination; an area B which is necessary for maintaining the PCB decontamination function; and an area C which is necessary for implementing the demolition and removal work. The demolition and removal method executes the following processes A, B and C in this order: a process A where the area A is demolished and removed while decontaminating a PCB-contaminated substance using the PCB decontamination function; a process B where the area B is demolished and removed while decontaminating or storing the PCB-contaminated substance; and a process C where the area C is demolished and removed.
