PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified conjugated diene polymer that strikes a balance between low hysteresis loss and wet skid resistance when used for automobile tires, and has practically sufficient wear resistance and tensile characteristics and also excellent workability.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a conjugated diene polymer in which the percentage of polymer chains each having a structure derived from a compound represented by the following formula (1) or (2) at a molecular terminal is 70-98 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
