Abstract:
Provided is a dental handpiece capable of rotating a cutting tool at a high speed as compared with a conventional dental handpiece. A dental handpiece 1 including coupling portion 4, a body 5, and a neck 6 to be held by a used and a head 7 connected to them, wherein the head 7 includes a tool rotating mechanism 50 that holds a cutting tool 3 for treating a region to be treated, rotates based on rotation of a drive unit 2a that is rotationally driven, and rotates the cutting tool 3, and the tool rotating mechanism 50 has a rotation speed of at least 5.5 times or more a rotation speed of the drive unit 2a.
