【課題】複数のランプが最適に配置された露光装置を提供する。【解決手段】複数のランプ１２で構成されたランプ群１１と、複数のランプ１２からの光を受けて、当該光の均一性を高めるインテグレータ１４とを備える露光装置１０において、以下の条件式１および２を満足させることにより、上記課題を解決できる。条件式１ ａ ≰ ｔａｎθ1?Ｌ?２条件式２ θ1−θ2＝ θ3但し、ａ ：ランプ群の縦方向寸法および横方向寸法Ｌ ：ランプ群の出光位置からインテグレータの入射位置までの距離θ1：各ランプの光軸とインテグレータの中心軸とが成す角度の内、最大の値θ2：個々のランプからの光の開き角θ3：インテグレータ入射角【選択図】図６
