Abstract:
To enable one sensor to detect skew of continuous form paper.SOLUTION: A first component, including a second end 3012 and a first end 3011 that abuts the end in the width direction of a recording medium P, rotates around a rotational axis 303 in accordance with skew of the recording medium P. When the first component 301 rotates, the position of the second end 3012 changes. The position of the end in the Z direction of the recording medium P and the position of the end of the second end 3012 are detected by the sensor. The controlling part identifies the inclining direction and the inclination of the recording medium P in a pre-determined transportation direction on the basis of the position of the end in the Z direction of the detected recording medium P and the position of the end of the second end 3012.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
