Abstract:
To provide a detection tube capable of measuring density of acetaldehyde or ethanol even when a test object gas includes formaldehyde or methanol.SOLUTION: A detection tube 2 is configured so that: reaction particles in which sulfuric acid and chromium oxide are adhered to surfaces of carrier particles are filled in a detection tube body 10 to form a reaction agent 14; chemical change of acetaldehyde in a test object gas passing inside of the reaction agent 14 to acetic acid is caused; then a concentration of acetaldehyde is determined on the basis of a color change length of a detection agent 16 whose color is changed by pH change by the acetic acid. Between the reaction agent 14 and the detection agent 16, there is provided an adsorption agent 15 for causing the acetic acid to pass and adsorbing formic acid, and the formic acid generated from formaldehyde is adsorbed and does not reach the detection agent 16, so that the concentration of acetaldehyde in the test object gas including acetaldehyde and formaldehyde can be measured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
