To provide a detergent composition for CIP which is excellent in detergency performance against organic stains, such as heat denaturation stain originated from food or beverage ingredients, dispersibility of inorganic substance, low-foamability, storage stability, and stability of available chlorine, as well as suppression of colloid precipitation and prevention of blackening of stainless steel surface, and to provide a washing method using the detergent composition for CIP.
The detergent composition for CIP contains, by mass, (A) 5-30% of an alkali metal hydroxide salt, (B) 0.5-5% of chlorine oxidant, (C) 1-7% of silicate, (D) 0.5-7% of phosphonate, (E) 0.1-5% of amphoteric surfactant, and water as an (F) component, wherein a blending ratio [(C):(D)] of component (C), silicate to component (D), phosphonate is 3:1-1:3.
