Abstract:
The device has an end piece (22) molded on an upper end (8a) of a heddle (8) in a form of a body (221) forming a rigid tube with small thickness, where the piece forms a housing (228) and an opening (224). A rigid metallic sleeve (24) having a small length and thickness lesser than 0.1mm is mounted on the piece and is movable in translation between two positions. The sleeve allows an access to the opening in one of the positions and exerts a centripetal force, for constricting the opening and housing to block a lower end of a cord (6) of a harness, in the other position. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a jacquard type weaving loom having a heddle and a cord hooking device (2) a method for manufacturing a heddle and a cord hooking device (3) a method for hooking a heddle of a shed forming device in a loom and a cord of the device by using a heddle and cord hooking device.
