Abstract:
To prevent a reduction in printing quality due to a tolerance between a rotation amount of a rotary member and an actual movement amount of a peripheral surface of the rotary member.SOLUTION: A liquid discharging device comprises: a transportation drum 21 which transports a sheet material P while carrying the sheet on a peripheral surface thereof; a discharge unit 23 which discharges the sheet material P; a first encoder 201 which outputs a signal according to a rotation amount of the transportation drum 21; a second encoder 211 which outputs a signal according to a movement amount of the peripheral surface of the transportation drum 21; a sheet material position sensor 220 which detects a position of the sheet material P; means 501 which determines discharge start timing of the discharge unit 23 from a detection result of the sheet material position sensor 220 and an output result of the first encoder 201; and means 502 which determines discharge start timing of the discharge unit 23 from an output result of the second encoder 211.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
