Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plastic composition, a plastic formed product, a packaging material, or a container which possesses resistance to bacteria and fungus and the property of radiating far-infrared ray radiation, which are the properties of chitin.
SOLUTION: A plastic composition contains chitin which has a far-infrared ray radiating property. The plastic composition is manufactured by a process comprising a step of radiating a far-infrared ray to the chitin and a step of mixing a granular or powdered plastic forming material with the chitin. The plastic composition is formed into a packaging material or a plastic formed product such as a container or the like.
