Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission device which shortens the time required for identifying a failure cause, and a diagnosis method for the transmission device.SOLUTION: A transmission device comprises: a first unit for receiving a frame; and a second unit for transmitting the frame that is received by the first unit. The first unit includes: a first storage part for storing first disposal information relating to the frame that is disposed in the first unit; a generation part for generating a dummy frame; a first application part for applying the first disposal information to the dummy frame; and an output part for outputting the dummy frame to which the first disposal information is applied, to the second unit. The second unit includes: a second storage part for storing second disposal information relating to the frame that is disposed in the second unit; and a diagnosis part for diagnosing a failure based on the first disposal information that is applied to the dummy frame, and the second disposal information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
