Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a difluoroalkylbenzene derivative that is an intermediate allowing a substituted phenyl ether compound having pest controlling effect to be synthesized conveniently and efficiently and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The present invention provides a method for producing a 2-substituted phenyl-2,2-difluoro ethanol derivative by allowing a 2-substituted phenyl-2,2-difluoroacetate derivative represented by formula (1c) to be prepared by the following reaction and further making the derivative react with a reductant such as hydrogenated boron sodium (Y1-Y3 are a halogen atom or a C1-C4 haloalkyl group).SELECTED DRAWING: None
