Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to provide a hydraulic shovel excavation control system and excavation control method that are capable of improving work efficiency of an operator.SOLUTION: A work machine control system 200 comprises: an operation unit 28b for creating and updating a design surface S for showing a target shape of an excavation target; a display unit 29 for displaying the design surface S; an excavation limitation control unit 265 for executing excavation limitation control for automatically adjusting a bucket tip position with respect to the design surface S; and an execution instruction unit 264 for instructing execution of the excavation limitation control to the excavation limitation control unit 265.
