Abstract:
To provide a digital content reception device and a reception method adopting a partial TS content format that enables a 2K reception device to use 4K/8K broadcast contents.SOLUTION: A digital content reception device according to one embodiment includes a reception unit, a partial transport stream processing unit, and a processing determination unit. a partial transport stream based on the MPEG-2 TS, which includes acquired element stream data by transcoding component data of a specific content transmitted on the basis of an MMT/TLV system and associated data related to an attribute information of the specific content, is received. The element stream data and the associated data related to the attribute information of the content are extracted from the partial transport stream.
