Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injector directed operated by a piezoelectric actuator.SOLUTION: A fuel injector includes a piezoelectric driving stack and an injector assembly, wherein since a flow control member of the fuel injector is directly driven by the piezoelectric stack without additional amplification means or inclusion element, and a flow rate to be controlled is supplied in a desired flow profile to improve engine performance and reduce exhausts, a flow area of a nozzle part can be variably adjusted. The configuration of the injector is suitable to support a flow rate necessary with minimum linear movement of the flow control member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
