Abstract:
To improve corrosion resistance of a metallic member enclosed in a piston boot.SOLUTION: A disc brake 2 includes: a piston 11; a cylinder 9 which has a bore part 9A for movably housing the piston 11, and is formed with a step part 9E located at an opening end 9D side of the bore part 9A; and a piston boot 12 which is disposed between a tip side of the piston 11 and a small diameter step part 9E1 of the cylinder 9. The piston boot 12 has: a large diameter fitting part 12A which encloses an annular metallic member 13 and fits in the small diameter step part 9E1; a bellows part 12B which extends from the large diameter fitting part 12A, has a diameter expanding to an outer periphery side relative to the large diameter fitting part 12A, and extends deflecting to an inner periphery side relative to the large diameter fitting part 12A; and a small diameter fitting part 12C which is formed at an end part of the bellows part 12B and fits in an outer periphery of the piston 11. The large diameter fitting part 12A of the piston boot 12 has a cutout part 12E, in which a part of the metallic member 13 is exposed to the outside, at a position on the bellows part 12B side.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
