Abstract:
To provide a display control system that enables intuitive recognition of a direction in which a vehicle peripheral image is captured.SOLUTION: A display control system to be installed to a vehicle comprises an image input unit that receives a peripheral image obtained by photographing a peripheral area around the vehicle, a vehicle peripheral image generating unit that generates a vehicle peripheral image from the peripheral image received by the image input unit, the vehicle peripheral image showing the peripheral area around the vehicle viewed from a first virtual viewpoint, a subject image outputting unit that outputs a subject image indicating a subject viewed from a second virtual viewpoint different from the first virtual viewpoint based on three-dimensional data representing the subject, the subject being any one of a person in the vehicle, the vehicle, and the vehicle and a person in the vehicle, representing an agent of the observation, and an image superposition unit that superimposes the subject image on the vehicle peripheral image to generate a display image. A direction of a first visual line for viewing the peripheral area around the vehicle from the first virtual viewpoint is generally the same as a direction of a second visual line for viewing the subject from the second virtual viewpoint.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
