Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic shelf label device and an electronic shelf label system that detect that a display device is mounted in a predetermined position of a merchandise display shelf.SOLUTION: An electronic shelf label device is composed of a display device 10 and a mounting device 20 that can detachably mount the display device, the display device having a light guide plate for guiding the light emitted by the mounting device. The mounting device has light emitting parts 12 and 22, and causes the light emitting parts to emit light. When the display device is mounted on the mounting device, the light emitted from the light emitting parts of the mounting device is received by the mounting device through the light guide plate of the display device, and by this light reception, it is detected that the display device has been mounted on the mounting device.
