Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make conversion candidates legible and selectable, and to increase the number of displayable candidates.SOLUTION: A conversion candidate display device comprises: a key input part 3; a display part 8 for displaying characters input from the key input part 3; a conversion dictionary database for storing the input character and a conversion candidate corresponding to the input character; a display control part for displaying the input character from the key input part and the conversion candidate in the display part; a priority storage part for storing priority when extracting the conversion candidate from the conversion dictionary database; and an enlarged display control part for performing an enlarged display in which, when displaying conversion candidates in the display part, a conversion candidate with higher priority according to a category of an input area displaying the input character is displayed larger than a candidate with lower priority, and thereafter terminating the enlarged display of the conversion candidate with higher priority, after an elapse of a predetermined period or in a change display in which the conversion candidates are forwarded.
