To provide a display device for a vehicle capable of accurately measuring a travel distance of the vehicle, and measuring and displaying a time taken for the vehicle to travel a predetermined distance.
Operation of a timing unit is started when a travel start of the vehicle is detected; a travel distance of the vehicle after passage of a predetermined time from the travel start is acquired from location information of the vehicle based on a GPS signal, and the remaining travel distance is acquired from the travel distance of the vehicle after the passage of the predetermined time; the remaining travel distance is acquired on the basis of a vehicle speed signal; and timing data of the timing unit is acquired when the vehicle travels the predetermined distance, and the timing data is displayed.
