Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily recognize a situation on switching of a display state even when a driver can not refer to the display content of a screen only for a short period of time.SOLUTION: A display device for a vehicle includes a display switching control part (110) which displays visual information of a predetermined form expressing a state transition on a display screen as a state transition bar 13A, when the instruction of switching from a first state to a second state is input, and gradually moves the state transition bar from a first position made to correspond to the first state to a second position made to correspond to the second situation. The state transition bar is moved from one end to the other end on the screen. When a selection item is switched, the display concentration of a previously selected item is thinned, and then the display concentration of a newly selected item is thickened. A background screen is automatically switched to the background screen of a kind suitable to the newly selected item.
