Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for a vehicle that can improve the visibility of the image of an instrument and allow a driver to intuitively grasp the values of the instrument.SOLUTION: A meter image 166 including a speedometer 162, tachometer 164, and background plate 165 is displayed on a graphics display screen. The size of the meter image 166 changes in accordance with the speed. When a vehicle travels at a low speed, the meter image 166 of a relatively small size is displayed on the graphics display screen. As the speed of the vehicle becomes higher, the meter image 166 is displayed in a slightly enlarged state while the entire shape is maintained. When the speed becomes further higher, the meter image 166 is displayed in a larger size on the graphics display screen while the entire shape is maintained.
