Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a CrO-containing slag treatment method enabling the CrO-containing slag to be treated so as to satisfy soil environmental standard by preventing elution of hexavalent chromium.SOLUTION: The CrO-containing slag treatment method comprises: a Cr content determination step of determining a percentage of the Cr amount contained in MgO CrOto the total Cr amount contained in the CrO-containing slag; a first cooling step of, in a process of cooling molten slag in which slag is in a molten state, keeping the molten slag in a non-oxidation atmosphere until the molten slag is cooled to 800°C or less when the percentage of the Cr amount determined in the Cr amount determination step is less than 50 mass%; and a second cooling step of keeping the molten slag in non-oxidation atmosphere until the molten slag is cooled to 600°C or less in the process of cooling the molten slag when the percentage of the Cr amount determined in the Cr amount determination step is 50 mass% or more and less than 80 mass%.
