Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve reduction of equipment cost by making combustible dust discharged and collected from a vacuum smelting furnace safe so that the dust may not be ignited at a low temperature.SOLUTION: A combustible exhaust gas dust discharged from a vacuum smelting furnace is collected by a dust collector 33 arranged in an exhaust gas passage, and the collected exhaust gas dust is combusted by a rotating furnace 46 and formed into incombustible powder. The powder supplied into a pressure-air transportation pipe 71 is transported to the dust collector 74 by compressed air and collected. The collected powder is sent to a granulation line 6 by a pressure-air transportation tube 81 and pelletized. The pellet is transported to a reduction electric furnace, and a valuable metal is recovered.
